Automated Collection of “Usage” or “Variable” Data for Billing

Many service-based-price-models work on a combination of a fixed provisioning fee plus usage, capacity etc. The fixed (weekly/monthly/quarterly/etc.) fee may include an element of usage, for example; up to three support phone calls, 50 Mb of storage, three videos month, 200 photo-copies etc. and then the remaining charges are based on the additional usage, capacity, etc.

A manual system would require you to collect this usage information somehow at specific time, store it, apply it to an agreement and calculate what extras, if any, need to be billed. Our data-interfaces can often do this for you in an instance, automatically.

Unlimited Data-interfaces

From the outset we designed our software to have the capacity to use multiple data interfaces. They can to be written by us and included as part of the total solution or you can arrange to have them written by your preferred programing resource.

The data-interfaces could be as simple as connection to a single cell in a spread sheet, through to a collection of multiple data-sources from completely different systems using the originators computer interface, API (application programming interface) or SDK  (software development kit). Once configured, it can generate the invoice description as well as the item line price.

An example of the data Interface is a link to ATTIX5. This market leading software is used as part of many branded cloud backup solutions. Our data interface collects profiles and usage from the cloud system then prices the information using a preconfigured price matrix and adds it into the bill.

A single invoice can be made up of multiple services item lines.
